The US Air Force Command confirmed, on Tuesday, finding the remains of human organs in the wheels of one of its planes, which took off from Kabul Airport and landed at Al Udeid base in Qatar.
A statement issued by the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations added that “all information related to the incident, including photos and videos, is reviewed in order to know the circumstances of the incident.”
The world media spotlighted the catastrophic scene, on Monday, when thousands of Afghans gathered on the runway of Kabul Airport, trying to catch a US C-17 military plane, hoping to escape outside Afghanistan, after the Taliban had taken control of it.
The pictures showed dozens of people related to the plane’s tires and the lower parts of its wings as it moved before flight, not realizing the seriousness of what they had done.
The media revealed that people fell from the plane after taking off, and they died instantly.
The statement said that the plane landed at Kabul airport, on Monday, before leaving for Qatar, and was surrounded by hundreds of Afghan civilians.
“In light of the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the area surrounding the aircraft, the flight crew decided to leave the airport as soon as possible,” he added.
