How does Islam address contemporary issues?

admin May 13, 2023

Islam addresses contemporary issues through its teachings and principles, which provide guidance for Muslims in all aspects of life. For example, Islam promotes justice, compassion, and respect for human dignity, which are important values for addressing issues such as poverty, inequality, and human rights abuses. Additionally, Islam encourages seeking knowledge and using reason and critical thinking to address complex issues, including those related to science, technology, and the environment. Overall, Islam provides a comprehensive framework for addressing contemporary issues and promoting the well-being of individuals and society as a whole.”

Answer: “Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a source of wisdom for Muslims, and he left us with many beneficial sayings that can be applied in our daily lives. Some examples of his wisdom include:

  1. ‘None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.’ This hadith emphasizes the importance of justice, tolerance, and cooperation among people, and teaches us how to treat others with kindness and love.
  2. ‘Patience comes only through faith and the good pleasure of Allah.’ This hadith teaches us that patience and endurance are the best ways to deal with difficulties and problems that we face in life.
  3. ‘Actions are judged by intentions.’ This hadith encourages us to do good deeds and help others with sincere and pure intentions, and reminds us to work for the sake of Allah alone.
  4. ‘A Muslim is one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue and hands.’ This hadith highlights the importance of avoiding harm and hurting others, and emphasizes the value of kind words and good deeds.
  5. ‘Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.’ This hadith encourages us to do good deeds, even if they seem small or insignificant, and reminds us to treat everyone equally and fairly.”
